What is the Amazon AI Conclave?

At Amazon, we’ve been investing deeply in Artificial Intelligence for over 20 years, and many of the capabilities customers experience are driven by Machine Learning (ML). Amazon.com’s recommendations engine is driven by Machine Learning, as are the paths that optimise robotic picking routes in our fulfilment centres. Our supply chain, forecasting, and capacity planning are also informed by ML algorithms. Alexa is fuelled by Natural Language Understanding and Automated Speech Recognition deep learning; as is our drone initiative, Prime Air, and the computer vision technology in our new retail experience, Amazon Go. We have thousands of engineers at Amazon committed to machine learning and deep learning, and it’s a big part of our heritage.

How it works

AI Awards

• Solutions will be judged across parameters including maturity of use case, stage of productisation, novelty of approach/technique, and business model (may vary by category)
• Finalists will be selected basis a jury review by leaders from AWS and program partners as well as AI experts from the industry
• Finalists will pitch to a jury on Thursday, 13 December 2018 at the ITC Gardenia in Bengaluru
• Winners will be chosen by the grand jury and announced during the grand finale in Bengaluru on the same day

Alexa Awards

• Skills/Solutions will be judged across parameters including number of skills published, skills rating, number of customers engaged, community engagement, Alexa features used, Alexa voice design and positioning (may vary by category)
• Finalists will be selected basis a jury review by leaders from Alexa team and program partners as well as AI experts from the industry
• Finalists will pitch to a jury on Thursday, 13 December 2018 at the ITC Gardenia in Bengaluru
• Winners will be chosen by the grand jury and announced during the grand finale in Bengaluru on the same day
